# The Clipping Economy

Everything about getting paid to clip: real payout rates, how campaigns verify views, the operational playbooks, and the niches that actually pay.

Clipping is the business of cutting someone else's long-form content into short vertical clips and getting paid per verified view. Brands and creators fund campaigns, clippers post, a tracker counts the views, and the pool pays out until it is empty. These pages document how that actually works, including the parts that cost people money. OpenClip is a clip production tool, not a campaign marketplace, and is not affiliated with any of the marketplaces described here.
