# Clipper Pay Rates: What Clipping Really Pays Per 1,000 Views

Clipping campaigns advertise a rate per 1,000 verified views. Across public listings that rate runs roughly $0.20 to $6, clusters near $1, and almost never survives contact with your own analytics unchanged.

Short answer

Rates & economics

Figures checked August 2026

Most clipping campaigns pay between $0.20 and $6 per 1,000 verified views, with the bulk of public listings sitting near $1 per 1,000. That means 1,000,000 verified views across a month is roughly $1,000 at the market average, not the $5,000 the outlier campaigns imply. Plan on your blended rate across every campaign you post into, then take a 20-30% haircut for views that never verify.

## The numbers that matter

$0.20 - $6

Typical campaign rate

Per 1,000 verified views. The spread is campaign-by-campaign, not platform-by-platform.

~$1

Marketplace average

Per 1,000 views. The number to plan with when you do not yet know which campaigns you will get into.

~1,000,000

Views needed for $1,000

At the $1 average. At an outlier $6 rate it is ~167,000, but those pools drain fastest.

20-30%

Realistic verification haircut

Views that post but never verify: late submissions, rule rejections, exhausted budgets, removed posts.

## Rate reference

Observed market ranges, not guaranteed rates. Individual campaigns set their own terms and can change them at any time.

| Source | Typical rate | Paid on | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low-rate campaign | $0.20 - $0.50 / 1k | Verified views | Usually large budgets and loose rules. Worth it only at volume. |
| Median campaign | $0.80 - $1.50 / 1k | Verified views | Where most of the market sits. Plan here. |
| Outlier campaign | $3 - $6 / 1k | Verified views | Small pools, heavy competition, often stricter content rules or riskier categories. |
| Direct creator deal | Flat retainer or rev-share | Per month or per clip | Negotiated one-to-one with a streamer or brand. No public rate card exists. |
| Platform payout programs | Highly variable | Qualified views on your own account | Separate from campaigns, and usually require original content you own. |

## The playbook

1

### Read the rate as rate times remaining budget

A rate is meaningless without the pool behind it. A $6 campaign with $5,000 left pays out $5,000 total across every clipper in it; a $1 campaign with $250,000 left has room for everyone. Score every campaign on rate multiplied by remaining budget, then divide by how many clippers are already posting.

Tip: If a campaign does not display remaining budget, treat it as nearly empty until proven otherwise.

2

### Compute your blended rate, not your best rate

You will post into several campaigns at once and your income is the weighted average, not the headline number of the best one. Track views and paid earnings per campaign for two weeks, divide dollars by thousands of views, and that single number is what you actually earn per 1,000. It is almost always lower than the advertised rates you joined for.

Tip: Recompute your blended rate monthly. It moves as campaigns open and close.

3

### Apply the verification haircut before you celebrate

Posted views and paid views are different numbers. Between them sit late submissions, rule rejections, duplicate flags, deleted posts, and budgets that ran out mid-window. A 20-30% gap between your platform analytics and your campaign balance is normal, not fraud.

Tip: Keep a running ratio of paid views to posted views. If it drops below 60% something in your process is broken, not the campaign.

4

### Price your time against the rate

At $1 per 1,000 views, a clip that lands 20,000 views is worth $20. If that clip took an hour to source, cut, caption and post, you earned $20 an hour before the haircut. The only two levers are clips per hour and views per clip, and production speed is the one you fully control.

Tip: Time yourself end to end on ten clips. Most people are slower than they think by a factor of two.

5

### Treat outlier rates as bonuses, not budgets

The $6 campaigns are real, and they are also the fastest to exhaust and the strictest on rules. Build your monthly plan on median campaigns you can reliably post into, then let the outliers be the upside when you catch one in the first 48 hours.

Tip: A campaign that just opened with a full budget is worth more than a higher rate with 5% of the pool left.

## How this goes wrong

### Advertised rate is not realised rate

The number on the campaign card is the ceiling. Rejections, unverified views, and payout thresholds all pull the realised rate down, and none of them are visible when you join.

### Rates are not guaranteed forward

Campaigns can change rates or close entirely with no notice. Income built on a single campaign is one email away from zero, which is why spreading across two or three is standard practice.

### Screenshot rates you see online are cherry-picked

The payout screenshots circulating in clipper communities are the top of the distribution by definition. They are evidence the ceiling exists, not evidence of what a new clipper earns.

## Features

### More Clips Per Hour

AI moment detection returns 5-15 scored candidates from one long video, so clips per hour stops being the bottleneck

### Word-Level Captions

Burned-in synced captions in one pass, the format campaigns expect and retention rewards

### Face-Tracked 9:16

Speaker tracking keeps the subject centred in every vertical crop, no manual reframing

### Batch Across Campaigns

Process several source videos at once so you always have posts ready for whichever pool still has budget

### Hook Scoring

Candidates are scored on opening-hook strength, the variable that decides 500 views versus 50,000

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How much do clippers get paid per 1,000 views?

Across public clipping campaigns the rate runs roughly $0.20 to $6 per 1,000 verified views, clustering near $1. Your realised rate is lower than the advertised one once unverified views, rejections and payout thresholds are accounted for.

### How many views do I need to make $1,000 clipping?

At the $1 per 1,000 market average, about 1,000,000 verified views. At an outlier $6 rate it is around 167,000, but those campaigns have small pools and heavy competition, so most clippers never sustain that rate for a full month.

### Why is my campaign balance lower than my TikTok analytics?

Campaign trackers count verified views inside a tracking window, not lifetime platform views. Views that arrive after the window closes, on posts submitted late, or on clips that violated a rule do not count. A 20-30% gap is normal.

### Do higher rates mean more money?

Not usually. High-rate campaigns have small budgets and attract a swarm of clippers, so the pool empties in days. Rate multiplied by remaining budget, divided by competition, is the number that predicts your earnings.

### Is there a fixed rate card for clipping?

No. Every campaign sets its own rate, rules and budget, and can change them. Anyone quoting a single universal rate for clipping is describing one campaign, not the market.

## Raise the Only Number You Control

You cannot set the rate. You can set how many post-ready clips you produce per hour. OpenClip turns one authorised source video into a captioned, face-tracked batch in a single pass.
