AI Writer generates written content from a Video you have already processed. It works from the transcript, so anything with clear speech (a podcast, webinar, or talking-head video) gives the best results.

## Turn it on [#turn-it-on]

AI Writer runs per Brand. Open your Brand at [https://openclip.app/brands](https://openclip.app/brands) and enable the **Repurpose into text content** toggle. With it on, every Video processed with that Brand automatically generates written content once the transcript and content analysis finish. ## What it generates [#what-it-generates]

Newer Videos generate each type from the insights OpenClip extracts during processing, so the writing is grounded in the actual points made in the Video rather than a raw transcript summary.

## Where to find it [#where-to-find-it]

Open the Video's [Content Hub](https://openclip.app/docs/clipping/content-hub/) and switch to the **Pre-generated** tab. Long-form pieces and social posts are grouped separately. Click any piece to open it at its own page (`/videos/{video}/content/{task}`), where you can read the full text or copy it.

## Voice and tone [#voice-and-tone]

The Brand's personality preset controls how everything is written:

| Preset       | Voice                                                            |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Professional | Clear, direct, precise. No slang or emojis. This is the default. |
| Gen-Z        | Internet-native casual. Short sentences, hot takes.              |
| Creator      | YouTube/podcast host energy. Conversational and warm.            |
| Provocative  | Bold contrarian. Strong opinions, punchy sentences.              |
| Custom       | Your own description of how the content should sound.            |

If the Video has no Brand attached, AI Writer falls back to Professional.

## Credits [#credits]

Written content is charged once per Video, no matter how many content types are generated:

A 10-minute Video costs 10 credits for the blog post, SEO content, newsletter, and social posts combined. Generation is skipped entirely if your team has no credits left.
