This is the shortest path from signup to a finished clip. The whole run takes a few minutes of your time plus processing time roughly proportional to your video's length.

## 1. Create an account [#1-create-an-account]

Sign up at [https://openclip.app/register](https://openclip.app/register) and verify your email. Signing up does not grant processing credits on its own.

## 2. Start the trial (or pick a plan) [#2-start-the-trial-or-pick-a-plan]

Processing costs credits: 1 credit = 1 minute of source video. The way in is the 3-day trial: it needs a card, costs $0 today, and seeds 60 credits so you can run a real video. The first charge runs at the end of day 3 and allocates your full first cycle. Start it from [https://openclip.app/pricing](https://openclip.app/pricing). Clips rendered during the trial carry a watermark; your first settled charge lifts it. ## 3. Submit a video [#3-submit-a-video]

Go to [https://openclip.app/dashboard](https://openclip.app/dashboard). This is your Library: every Video your team has submitted lives here, and it is also where you submit new ones.

You can either:

* **Upload a file**: drag a video file onto the dropzone.
* **Paste a URL**: drop a YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, OneDrive, or direct video link into the URL field.

Before the upload starts, pick a **Brand**. A Brand is a saved processing profile: caption style, logo, and tone. If you have not made one yet, the default works fine; you can build your own later under [Brands](https://openclip.app/docs/brands/overview/). You also pick the audio language, and you can optionally trim the submission to just the section you want processed, so you only pay credits for that portion.

## 4. Wait for processing [#4-wait-for-processing]

The Video moves through the pipeline stages, which you can watch live: preparing media, extracting audio, generating the transcript, analyzing the content, then detecting moments and creating clips. You do not have to keep the tab open; come back to the dashboard any time.

## 5. Review your Viral Moments [#5-review-your-viral-moments]

When processing finishes, open the Video's **Content Hub**. This is the per-video workspace: the transcript, generated written content, and the list of **Viral Moments**, which are AI-detected clip candidates ranked by predicted engagement. ## 6. Fine-tune a clip [#6-fine-tune-a-clip]

Open any moment in the [editor](https://openclip.app/docs/clipping/editor/). From there you can adjust the trim, restyle captions, and remove filler words. Most clips are usable as-is; the editor is for the last 10 percent.

## 7. Download or share [#7-download-or-share]
