# Clip Submission

Posting is not entering. Until the link is registered against the campaign, the clip is content rather than a claim on the budget.

## Definition

Clip submission is the step where you register a live post with a campaign, normally by supplying the public post URL from a connected account, so the campaign can begin tracking that post's views for payment. It is a separate action from publishing, and a clip that is live but unsubmitted is generating audience rather than earnings. A valid submission typically requires that the post is public, that it comes from an account already linked to the campaign, that it uses approved source content, and that it complies with the campaign's format and disclosure rules. Submissions can be rejected for reasons that have nothing to do with clip quality, including unapproved source material, a broken account connection, a duplicate of something already submitted, or being late relative to the campaign's rules.
