OpenClipDocs

What is OpenClip?

Turn long videos into short, vertical, captioned clips that are ready to post.

OpenClip takes a long video (a podcast, stream, webinar, or any recording), finds the moments most likely to perform on short-form platforms, and turns them into vertical, captioned clips. You upload once and leave with a set of clips, a transcript, and written content, all generated from the same source video.

The core flow

  1. Submit a video from a file upload or a URL. See Quickstart.
  2. OpenClip transcribes it, analyzes the content, and detects Viral Moments: clip candidates ranked by predicted engagement.
  3. Review moments in the Content Hub, then fine-tune any clip in the editor: captions, trims, filler-word removal, and branding.
  4. Download clips, share them with a link, or schedule them straight to your social accounts.

What else is in the box

  • Brands: saved profiles (caption style, logo, tone) applied automatically when you submit a video.
  • AI Writer: blog posts, newsletters, and social posts written from your video's content.
  • Tools: one-off utilities for converting, compressing, trimming, transcribing, and cleaning up media.
  • AI UGC Studio: generate short talking-head creator videos from a script, no camera involved.
  • MCP and API access: drive the whole pipeline from Claude, Cursor, or your own agents.
