Which plan should I pick?
Starter is for solo creators publishing on a regular cadence. Pro is for creators and teams repurposing at higher volume with a shared workflow. Business is for agencies and organizations that need custom capacity, API access, and dedicated support.
Can I try OpenClip before paying?
Yes. The Quick Captions demo on the landing page lets you try the workflow on a sample without an account. To use your own videos and the full AI clipping pipeline, you need a paid plan, but you can cancel any time.
What is a credit?
One credit covers one minute of source video sent through AI clipping, captioning, or reframing; only the source duration is counted, and output clips can run shorter or longer. AI UGC generation draws from the same balance based on the length of the generated video. Importing or re-publishing existing clips does not consume credits.
What if I need more capacity mid-month?
On Pro you can add more capacity to your subscription instantly from the pricing page. On Starter, you can upgrade to Pro at any time and we prorate the difference. Business customers can tailor volume directly with us.
Do unused credits roll over to the next month?
Your plan capacity refreshes at the start of each billing cycle. If your usage changes, you can adjust your plan from billing settings.
How does the monthly vs annual toggle work?
Annual billing charges once per year at a lower effective monthly rate (see the "X% OFF" pill at the top). Monthly billing keeps the 50% off the first month offer for new subscribers. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from your billing settings.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against the time remaining in your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the cycle so you keep what you paid for. Your library and projects stay intact across plan changes.
How do I cancel? Any lock-in?
No lock-in on monthly or annual. Cancel from your billing settings at any time. You keep access until the end of the current billing period and your card is never charged again. Your library and exported clips remain accessible.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, through our 30-in-30 guarantee: if you do not ship 30 clips in your first 30 days, email support within that window and we refund your first month in full, no questions. Outside the guarantee window we do not refund partial periods, but you can cancel anytime and you will not be charged again. If something went wrong (failed processing, system error), reach out and we will make it right.
Which platforms and aspect ratios are supported?
Output is optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and YouTube workflows. Captions are pre-styled per platform.
Can OpenClip create more than video clips?
Yes. OpenClip can turn transcripts and extracted insights into social posts, blog posts, newsletters, and SEO drafts, so the same recording can feed your video and written content workflow.
Can I schedule posts from OpenClip?
Pro and Business include the social calendar for scheduling and publishing through connected accounts. Business customers can tailor publishing workflows around their team and integrations.
Which languages does the captioning engine support?
Multi-language transcription and captions cover a broad set of popular creator languages out of the box. Custom vocabulary is available on Business.
How do team seats and collaboration work?
Pro includes a team workspace with shared brand templates and project access. Business includes a custom seat setup, shared brand library, usage analytics, SSO, and a dedicated Slack channel. Roles and permissions are managed from the team settings.
Is there an API or integration option?
Yes. API access, webhook integrations, CMS imports, and cloud-source ingest are part of the Business plan. We work with you on a custom integration scope during onboarding.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) through Stripe. Business customers can also arrange annual invoicing with NET 30 terms. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
Is my content private and secure?
Your uploads, transcripts, and generated clips are private to your workspace. We do not use your content to train external models. Business plans include enterprise-level security with SSO, audit logs, and custom data-retention policies.
